Nvse 2.0 Beta Couldnt Find Falloutnv.exe.

You may have to do it twice to get it to work. NVSE can t find falloutnv.exe. New Vegas Script Extender (NVSE) v2 beta 12. By Ian Patterson, Stephen Abel. I cant install it at all when i try it says could not find fallout new vegas.exe please.

Hi

Recently NVSE stopped working for me without any apparent cause and no one seems to be able to help me. There are only a few similar problems that I managed to find on different forums and all remain without an answer. The problem is this:
I just reinstalled Fallout NV, Nexus Mod Manager and ALL mods. I also deleted all fallout related files and folders left after deinstall from the drive and installed the game again. Here's where my problem starts. I installed only a small number of mods. When i start the game, Project Nevada shouts it does not see NVSE. The same happens when I use the GetNVSEVersion command:
SCRIPTS : 'SysWindowCompileAndRun', line 1.
Script Command 'GetNVSEVersion' not found.
The new game starts, I see doc Mitchell but every few second the Warning window from NVSE appears if any NVSE mods are enabled.

I used mods in Bethesda games since Oblivion and script extenders always worked for me. What's more, even on the same computer, not more then 5 months ago, I played New Vegas just fine. Nothing changed, I installed no new hardware. I did not reinstall Windows. Here's the things I did:

- Tried adding NVSE to anti-virus exceptions

- Added 'run as administrator' to fallout and nvse exe files

- Tried using several versions of NVSE, including the archived ones and the newest beta

- Tried running the game without mods which do not use NVSE (NVSE still does not load)

- Tried running it in different ways: NVSE loader, NMM load options, Steam launcher

Here are the log files contents after the recent game startup:

How to deal with Fallout: New Vegas program leftovers

The problem: To completely uninstall Fallout: New Vegas is not always that simple, the default uninstaller that came with the program always fails to remove all the components of Fallout: New Vegas. For example, the registry entries that created during the program installation are always left inside the computer even you perform the regular removal, also, leftovers may include installation folder, temporary files, cache files, etc. To manually find out and remove these leftovers is not only tedious but also a risk-involved task since you need to reach the registry editor and sort out the unwanted entries or keys of the target program, and then remove them one by one, sounds easy, isn’t it? Well, the fact is, Windows registry is a place that you don’t want to mess up, an straightforward example, if you mistakenly delete a wrong key/entry, some of the program in your computer may stop working, it may even result in system malfunction.

Since I’m always sick of figuring out the regular steps to either clean out junks or fix errors, my computer has been a total mess for long. I was wondering if there is any shortcut to technically heal it, searching for a while, and finally found this one here. You may not know how despaired you can be when you’re not able to get Your PC to work. I really appreciate it’s easy-to-use functions.

The situation has happened for a couple of times that you have gone through all the process considered to be effective, the stubborn program just won’t go away. So glad that I discovered this valuable tool. I do hope it will work as fine as it does now, because my computer’s future maintenance counts on it.

- Greg Garfield

The reason I turned to this uninstaller was that I conducted the terribly wrong way to delete a program. I was not able to get rid of it by either directly uninstalling it or reinstalling it. I supposed using a software to help me with the cleaning was the only way, so I did it. Now all the problems are gone, and I’m truly satisfied with this uninstaller. Hope it has a bright future : )
